Paving of Joplin trails and parking lots to begin Monday

(From the City of Joplin)

Outdoor enthusiasts - Heads Up!

Starting Monday, June 22, Capital Paving will be sealing selected trails and parking lots as part of the yearly Parking Lot and Trail Sealing Project. Locations that are to be sealed are as follows:

• Cunningham Park walking trail & parking lots,
• Wildcat Park walking Trail,
• Frisco/Turkey Creek Trail that extends from St. Louis Ave. to the Frisco Greenway Trail,
• Turkey Creek Trail between Florida Ave. & St. Louis Ave

Lots and trails will be closed while they are being sealed and while the sealant is curing. Capital Paving will begin at Cunningham Park on Monday. Paving is expected to take one day per location, although time may be extended due to location.

The City apologizes for any inconvenience that may be caused by the closures; however, this work helps to prolong the lifespan of the trails and lots providing for a better experience when visiting our parks and trails. Thank you for your patience.
