Seneca PD makes arrests on drugs, weapons, child support charges

On 5/27/20, Officer Fort and Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop on Wyandotte for a moving violation. The male driver (from Neosho) was arrested. He was cited for: Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Valid Operators, No Insurance, Delivery of a controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

On 5/27/20, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at Mill St for an equipment violation. The male driver was arrested for the following charges: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Receiving Stolen Property, and Deliver/Possess Controlled Substance in a Correctional Facility. The driver was also cited for: Possession of Marijuana and DWS.

On 5/26/20, Officer Zimmerman was dispatched to a residence in reference to a suspicious person. A male subject, Joseph Headley fled the scene after giving his name to Officer Zimmerman. Dispatch advised that Mr. Headley had a Probation and Parole Violation warrant out of Jasper County. Officer Zimmerman finally located the subject. Joseph Headley was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. Numerous other charges were submitted.

On 5/25/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop on Seneca/Delaware for a moving violation. The female driver was arrested for DWS and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/24/20, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Hwy 60 for a moving violation. The female driver was arrested and booked on the charge of DWS. A male passenger was arrested and booked on a warrant out of Joplin for: Resisting Officers and a Jasper County warrant for: Child Support. A female passenger was cited for Possession. Both the driver and male passenger were transported to the Newton County Jail.

On 5/24/20, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Washington for a moving violation. The driver, Gregory Price was arrested on two FTA warrants out of Joplin for: Defective Equipment and Receiving Stolen Property. Price was transported to Joplin.

On 5/24/20, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Mill on a moving violation. The male driver was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. The subject was booked on the charges of: Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On 5/23/20, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Warnall Circle for an equipment violation. The female driver was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. The female subject was booked on the following charges: DWR, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle.

On 5/22/20, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Washington/St. Louise for multiple moving violations. The male driver failed one part and refused two parts of the field sobriety test. The male subject was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. The male subject was booked for: DWI and DWR. The male subject was also cited for: Failure to Keep Right and was also issued a notice of suspension and given a 15 day driving permit and blew a 0.133 BAC at the jail.

On 4/30/20, Officer Thiel was dispatched to a residence in reference to a suspicious person. A female subject was arrested and booked for: Possession of Controlled Substance and transported to Newton County Jail. Two male subjects were cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
