Shell Knob woman killed, Diamond man injured in colllision on 39

A Shell Knob woman was killed and a Diamond man injured in a two-vehicle collision 7:52 a.m. Friday on MO 39, five miles north of Shell Knob.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1994 Freightliner FLD120 driven by Freddy L. Stephens, 57, Diamond, crossed the center of the road and struck a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Tessie S. Mead, 74, Shell Knob.








Mead was pronounced dead at the scene by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearengin at 8:52 a.m.

Stephens was treated for minor injuries.

The fatality was the 65th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
