A Sherwood, Arkansas resident was injured in a one-vehicle accident 8:27 p.m. Saturday on MO 249, a mile and a half south of Carterville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Dodge Journey driven by William A. Jefferson, 56, Little Rock, Arkansas, lost control on an ice-covered bridge, ran off the roadway and overturned.
A passenger, Sabrina L. Burnside, 50, Sherwood, Arkansas, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
