A Joplin woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:15 a.m. today on I-44, one mile east of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by Christie L. Morris, 21, Joplin, went out of control on the ice-covered roadway, skidded off the right side of the road, struck several trees and overturned.
Morris was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
