Cherokee County Sheriff's Office plans added holiday DUI enforcement

Through the upcoming holidays, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office will be joining many other law enforcement agencies across the state and region in the *Taking Down DUI traffic enforcement campaign.

"During this festive time of year, we anticipate an increased number of families traveling. In an effort to keep those families safe, our agency will be joining our law enforcement partners to increase patrols on highways and secondary roads," according to Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves.

Law Enforcement participating in the special holiday enforcement campaign will be focusing on those who choose to drive in an unsafe manner, including under the influence.
