(From the Lamar Police Department)The Lamar Police Department took two reports of daytime burglaries yesterday, 12/20/22, one on Walnut and one on 6th St.
During the investigation, officers developed probable cause that led them to believe John A. Rickman, 40, of Lamar, was responsible for both burglaries. Rickman was located and taken into custody.
Items from both locations were located. Charges for 1rst degree burglary are being forwarded to the Barton County Prosecutor’s Office.
As is the case in all arrest, charges are based on probable cause and all persons are considered innocent until or unless proven guilty in court.
