According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Dodge ram driven by Garrett A. Wilson, 21, Greenfield, which was stopped in the roadway, was struck from behind by a 2022 International driven by Clifford B. Mueller, 56, Mount Vernon.
A passenger in the Wilson vehicle, Brandon L. Matthews, 22, Greenfield, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Aurora.
