Highway Patrol Troop D announces promotions

Effective January 1, 2023, Trooper Jeffrey T. Day is being promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as an assistant zone supervisor of Zone 13, which serves both Newton and McDonald counties. 

Day was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 7, 2007, as a member of the 86th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 3, serving Linn and Chariton counties. He transferred to Troop D, Zone 9, which serves Cedar and St. Clair counties, in 2010. In 2012, he transferred to Zone 7 in Newton and McDonald counties.

Corporal Day graduated from Carthage High School in 2002. He is married to Janet Day and has one child.








Effective January 1, 2023, Trooper Justin LeeMasters is being promoted to the rank of corporal and assigned as an assistant zone supervisor in Zone 8, which serves Vernon and Barton counties. LeeMasters was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on May 29, 2005, as a member of the 84th Recruit Class. 

After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, LeeMasters was assigned to Troop A, Zone 11, which serves Cass County. On August 1, 2008, he transferred to Troop D, Zone 8, where he remains.



Corporal LeeMasters graduated from Walker High School in 1993. He is married to Becky LeeMasters and has two children, Colten and Brenton.
