According to the Highway Patrol report, a Kansas City Southern locomotive struck Ranon J. Chiles, 26, Sarcoxie, who was on the tracks.
Jasper County Deputy Coroner James Harrison pronounced Chiles dead at 11 p.m.
The fatality was the 134th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
