For the most part I would agree with you, but there are always a few that ain’t worth a nickel. And then other departments come up with dumb ideas of hiring social workers.
The Governor of Missouri passed legislation that teachers make a minimum of $40,000 per year. All full time police officers and firefighters should make the same.
Webb City PD seems to pay much less than similar size agencies in SW Missouri...a non certified 18 year old starts at nearly $22 an hour for a civilian detention officer position at the Greene County Sheriff's Department...shame on the Webb City city council...I myself am a retired cop, and I am saddened to see these brave men and women paid so poorly.
Our police officers deserve way higher pay.
