Joplin woman arrested at 7th St. Wal-Mart with stolen car, credit cards

On Thursday, September 8th, at 5:25 AM, the Joplin Police Department responded to 2623 W. 7th St., Walmart in reference to a suspicious person.

While officers were responding they were notified that a Silver Honda Accord had just been reported stolen from 731 S. Jefferson Ave.

Officers located Amber D. Lockard, 34, Joplin, in possession of keys to the stolen Honda Accord which was on the parking lot. 

Lockard had multiple credit cards, social security cards, and ID`s, none of which we hers.
Police verified that Lockard had used two of the stolen credit cards inside Walmart and had stolen merchandise while in Walmart.

Police also located multiple IDs and a checkbook that were from victims residing in Carl Junction.

Lockard was arrested for:
Possession of Paraphernalia
Receiving Stolen Property
Stealing
Tampering in the 1st Degree
Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device
Trafficking in Stolen Identities
Parole Violation

As always, we encourage you to remove your important possessions from your vehicles overnight. Most importantly, your firearms and your personal identification and credit cards!
