As part of the continued efforts in keeping the patrons informed, the East Newton R-VI Schools administration will provide monthly information concerning Board meetings.
A recap of the September 15, 2016 regular meetings is as follows:
Patriot Pride recipients were the EN Ministerial Alliance and HS student Ashley Hobson.
Public Comments: None
The Board approved the Consent Agenda, including the previous month Board minute and monthly bills, substitute teacher list, and Triway
Program evaluations for the month of September included PDC and Testing/Evaluation Program.
Under reports a report on District MAP data was presented. A financial report was given for the month of August and enrollment numbers were presented. Total enrollment on the last day of August (K-12) was 1,340 students. Attendance overall for August was 96.7%.
Under Old Business, MSBA policy revisions GCBDA and GDBDA was approved. Second reading of MSBA policy revision ADF and ADF-AP1.
In respect to New Business, the Board approved MSBA membership and maintenance agreement for the 2016-2017 school year. The Board approved the FY17 Budget document presented. Next action the Board listened to the Patriot Singers perform and approved their request to make a trip to Orlando FL for a competition in March 2017. Last on the agenda the board approved the Special Education compliance plan.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for October 20 at 5:30 p.m. at Central Office.
