Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 3:30 p.m. today on MO 66, two miles west of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Marley R. Fort, 17, Carl Junction, failed to yield to a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 Royal driven by Michael A. Thompson, 54, Galena, Kansas, and struck the Thompson vehicle broadside. Both vehicles slid off the roadway.
Fort, Thompson, a passenger in the Fort vehicle, Jamie L. Evans, 17, Joplin, and a passenger in the Thompson vehicle, Kaitlyn E. Thompson, 7, Galena, were treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
