Webb City officials excited, honored by naming of Harry S Truman Elementary as Blue Ribbon School

We received formal notification today from the U.S Department of Education that Harry S. Truman Elementary has been named a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School. We are very honored, and excited to receive this award and are planning a celebration of achievement for the students and staff next Tuesday, October 4 at 1:00. We would love for our local media to join us.

Harry S. Truman is among 279 public and 50 private schools receiving this honor.

Schools are nominated for the award by the state department of education, and then completed a comprehensive application about school practices.

School Representatives will represent Harry S. Truman at a two-day awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., to celebrate their hard-won achievements.
