The Joplin Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2635 E 15th, on Monday, 17 July, at 5:20 AM.
The first crew arrived at5:24 AM. On arrival fire personnel found a single-story residence with flames and smoke showing from the living room window.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire, with damage largely confined to the living room and its contents. Crews remained on scene until 6:43 AM.
- There were no injuries to civilians or firefighting crews. The building was unoccupied at the time.
- The Fire Department responded with 5 apparatus and 13 personnel and was assisted by the Joplin Police Department and METS Ambulance Service.
- The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
