...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON WEDNESDAY TO 7 PM
CDT SATURDAY...

* TEMPERATURE...Air temperatures across much of the Missouri
Ozarks and southeastern Kansas will warm into the mid and
upper 90s through this weekend. These temperatures combined
with abundant humidity will produce heat index values between
98 and 104 degrees for multiple days in a row across the
  advisory area.

* IMPACTS...A prolonged period of hot weather can increase the
risk of heat related illness, including heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. The very young, the elderly, and those without
access to air conditioning will be especially vulnerable.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
