The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office raided a Columbus home just after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, following an investigation into suspected drug activity.

Investigators executed the search warrant at 609 South Tennessee Avenue in Columbus, where they took 24 year-old Jonathan Kloer into custody.

During the search, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia items were located and seized from the home.

Kloer is currently being held in the Cherokee County Jail in lieu of $3,000.00 bond on allegations of Possessing Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

“This home is located a very short distance from the Columbus City Park, where families and kids play on a daily basis,” according to Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves.

“It’s important our communities, especially areas near parks and schools, are as safe as possible and free of the inherent risks associated with illegal drug activity,” concluded Groves.
