Jasper Police Department makes drug arrest

(From the Jasper Police Department)

On Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at 1:02 pm, a Jasper officer made contacts with subjects parked behind Pete's Convenience Store, in the grass, occupying a maroon GMC Jimmy with a Missouri license of CE6D1Y.

Contact was made with Richard Perkins of Adrian, Missouri. As Perkins Sr. exited the front driver's seat to come talk to the officer, the officer observed a syringe in plain view, sticking out from between the front driver's seat and the center console.

After questioning, Perkins admitted the syringe was his that it was used to inject oxycodone. A search of the vehicle yielded a spoon with a whitish burnt residue and part of a cotton swab was located in the front center console.

Perkins was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
