Joplin man seriously injured slamming into tree, charges filed

A Joplin man was injured in a one-vehicle crash 8:24 a.m. today on MO 43, two miles north of Hart.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Dodge Charger driven by Dacoda J. Johnson, 24, Joplin, traveled off the main portion of the roadway and collided with a tree.

Johnson, who was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, was charged with resisting arrest by fleeing, careless and imprudent driving, no valid drover's license and no seat belt.
