Jasper Police Department arrests Kansas women for drug trafficking, meth, marijuana confiscated

(From the Jasper Police Department)

On Tuesday, March 20th, 2018 at 1:34 pm, a Jasper officer stopped a black 2004 Honda Civic on I-49 at the 65.4 MM in reference to a traffic violation.

Upon contact with occupants in the vehicle, the officer observed signs of the driver being under the influence of narcotics (methamphetamine).

During the investigation, the driver, Kayla Fritz of Lenexa, Ks admitted she had meth hidden on her person and that drugs and paraphernalia were in the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle yielded baggies with suspected methamphetamine inside, weighing scales commonly used to weigh narcotics, several unused baggies, several used syringes with liquid and with what appeared to be a liquid/blood mix and marijuana.

Fritz was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute as well as the front passenger, Eugena Kim of Overland Park, Ks for the same charges.

A plastic baggy with about two grams of a white powder substance suspected of being methamphetamine was later recovered in her bra by JCSO jail staff.

Both subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

Thank you to Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
