A Springfield man was injured in a two-vehicle collision 10:35 a.m. today on MO 171, one mile south of Carl Junction.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Kenworth driven by Christopher A. Sorenson, 34, Springfield, was attempting to cross 171 and pulled into the path of a 2011 Ford F150 driven by Bradley G. Brinegar, 50, Pittsburg, Kansas, causing the Brinegar to vehicle to skid off the roadway and strike a utility pole.
Sorenson was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
