Trash dumping incident leads to Jasper Police Department arrest of Texas man on meth charge

Possession of Controlled Substance Arrest

On Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at 3:57 pm, a Jasper officer made contact with a male subject who got out of a red Volkswagen passenger vehicle with Texas license plates, dumping trash from the vehicle onto the lot of Pete’s Convenience Store. 

As the officer approached the subject to ask him to pick up his trash, the male subject threw a glass smoking pipe with white powder residue underneath a white truck parked next to his vehicle.

Patrick Wall of Houston, Texas was taken into custody in reference to the drug paraphernalia he threw.

A search of the vehicle yielded a small plastic baggy with a white crystal substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

After being read Miranda and questioned, Wall admitted the baggy of meth was his.

Wall is being charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Note: Wall is presumed innocent until proven guilty
