(From the Joplin Police Department)
July 2018 Calls for Service
The Joplin Police Department responded to 6,453 calls for service in July 2018. Our daily average was slightly more than 208 calls per 24 hour period, or 8.6 calls per hour.
These are crazy numbers for a town this size. Obviously we need more law enforcement officers and maybe more public education and neighborhood watch programs? Thank you JPD for all you do, despite not being fully supported by our city officials. Give our Law Enforcement Officers a RAISE!
