Jasper traffic stop results in arrest, meth confiscation

On Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 at 1:33 pm, a Jasper officer conducted a traffic stop on a silver mini van near Main and Sumac.

The driver of the vehicle, Ricky Leivan admitted to officers there was drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. 

After a search of the vehicle was conducted, suspected methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia was found. Leivan was arrested and transported to the Jasper County jail.

Note: Leivan is presumed innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
