Joplin motorcyclist, wife injured in crash on 86

A Joplin motorcyclist and his wife were injured in a two-vehicle collision 2:50 p.m. Tuesday on MO 86, 100 feet south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Honda motorcycle driven by Daryl S. Hendrix, 58, Joplin, attempted to pass a 2007 Ford Escape driven by Stephanie E. Bynum, 26, Neosho, as it was making a left turn and struck it in the side.

Hendrix was treated for moderate injuries and his passenger, Darlene Hendrix, 62, Joplin, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
