JPD arrests Joplin, Galena men passed out in car at Zora and Range Line for DUI, meth trafficking

Monday morning at 3:38 a.m. the Joplin Police Department responded to Zora and Range Line for a report of a vehicle stopped in the intersection with two males passed out in the vehicle.

Officers arrived and eventually woke both males up. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

A K9 alerted to the vehicle and officers discovered approximately 369 grams of meth concealed in the vehicle. Both occupants were arrested for trafficking in drugs in the first degree. 

The driver is identified as Jeremy F. Diel, 36, Galena, Kansas. The passenger is identified as Daniel A. Jackson, 37, Joplin, (top photo) Charges were submitted to the Jasper County Prosecutor’s Office.
