Cow in roadway causes causes head-on collision that injures Sarcoxie man, Aurora woman

A Sarcoxie man and an Aurora woman were injured in a two-vehicle accident 3:30 a.m. today on Highway 37, one mile west of Monett.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Ford F-150 driven by Lesa Williams King, 57, Aurora, struck a cow in the roadway, crossed the center line and struck a 2009 Dodge Charger driven by Richard A. Summers, 46, Sarcoxie head on.

Summers and King were treated for minor injuries at Cox Monett Hospital.
