12-year-old boy injured in hit-and-run accident in Liberal High School parking lot

A Liberal youth was injured in a hit-and-run accident 3:15 p.m. Friday in the Liberal High School parking lot.

According to the Highway Patrol report, William B. Shannon, 12, Liberal, crashed his bicycle in the parking lot and was then run over by the right rear tire of a small, red pickup, which left the scene.

Shannon was treated for minor injuries at Cox Barton County Hospital, Lamar.
