Possession Of Controlled Substance Arrest
On Thursday, August 30th, 2018 at about 12:45 pm, a Jasper PD officer stopped a 1996 Buick passenger vehicle with Colorado license plates near the intersection of 5th and Morrison.
Contact was made with the driver, James Inman (formerly of Lamar, new to Jasper). Signs of possible drug use was observed by officer. After a search was conducted, a baggy with a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and a glass pipe was found in Inman’s book bag on the front seat of the vehicle.
The officer explained to Inman of the “no meth allowed in Jasper” rule that was put into place on January 1st, 2016... and that maybe Jasper is not the right fit for him to live. He stated he understood and would try and quit using meth. Inman was transported to the Jasper County jail.
Note: Inman is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
