Weather hazards expected... Elevated ice accumulation risk.
DISCUSSION... Freezing drizzle will develop near and northwest of a Pittsburg, Kansas to Nevada, Missouri line after midnight. A thin glaze of ice is expected by sunrise, especially on elevated surfaces. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. The threat for freezing drizzle and light freezing rain will then spread southeast through much of the outlook area Wednesday night and early Thursday morning. A thin glaze to a tenth of an inch of ice appears increasingly likely over much of the area with perhaps the exception of far south-central Missouri. A strong cold front will move southeast through the area late this week with wind chills falling into the single digits at times from Friday night through the upcoming weekend. There will also be the potential for light snow from late Saturday into Sunday. It is too early to determine accumulation potential. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
