This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated ice accumulation risk.

DISCUSSION...

Freezing drizzle will develop near and northwest of a Pittsburg,
Kansas to Nevada, Missouri line after midnight. A thin glaze of
ice is expected by sunrise, especially on elevated surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

The threat for freezing drizzle and light freezing rain will then
spread southeast through much of the outlook area Wednesday night
and early Thursday morning.

A thin glaze to a tenth of an inch of ice appears increasingly
likely over much of the area with perhaps the exception of far
south-central Missouri.

A strong cold front will move southeast through the area late
this week with wind chills falling into the single digits at
times from Friday night through the upcoming weekend.

There will also be the potential for light snow from late Saturday
into Sunday. It is too early to determine accumulation potential.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
