Jasper man injured after colliding with wrecked car in roadway

A Jasper man was injured in a two-vehicle collision 2:30 a.m. today on MO 171, one mile east of Carterville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by Jose Carreto Luayes, 44, Carthage, had been involved in a crash and was stranded in the roadway when it was struck by a 2006 Toyota Sienna driven by Paul A. Bruffett, 81, Jasper.






The Bruffett vehicle partially ran off the roadway.

Bruffett was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
