KGCS-TV is set to air a recording of the USAF Band of Mid-America’s Concert Band’s performance – which took place inside Taylor Performing Arts Center on Feb. 8.
The band is from Scott Air Force Base in Illinois – and the performance featured a variety of music, including a salute to the 20th anniversary of the first Lunar landing by Apollo astronauts in 1969.
The concert will air numerous times over the coming weeks, with the first two airdates slated for Monday, Feb. 18 (8.p.m.) and Thursday, Feb. 21 (8 p.m.).
The program is also currently posted on KGCS’s YouTube channel – “KGCS Missouri Southern.”
KGCS programming can be seen on channel 22. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
