Freezing rain, freezing drizzle, snow may impact Jopiln area this evening, overnight

...Wintry Weather to Impact the Afternoon/Evening Commute...

.Snow will develop over northern Arkansas and southern Missouri
this afternoon, and then rapidly expand northward through the rest
of the region late this afternoon and through the early evening
hours. The snow will then change to a wintry mix this evening as
warm air aloft overspreads the region. Drizzle and freezing
drizzle is then expected later this evening into the overnight
hours. Total snow accumulations will range from around an inch to
two and a half inches. Ice accumulations will range from a thin
glaze to around one tenth of an inch. Locally heavier amounts of
snow and ice will be possible.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST
WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
  around one to two and one half inches and ice accumulations of
  a glaze up to around one tenth of an inch expected with locally
  heavier amounts possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east
  central, south central, southwest and west central Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
  Moderate to occasionally heavy snow will also significantly
  reduce visibility late this afternoon and early this evening.
  The hazardous conditions will likely impact the evening
  commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
