Carthage woman injured after being hit by Neosho driver in Newman Road construction zone

A Carthage woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 3:50 p.m. today on Newman Road, one mile east of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Ford Escape driven by Lana J. Williams, 58, Carthage, entered a construction zone and had either slowed or was stopped when it was struck by a 2002 Ford Taurus driven by Jennifer L. Davis, 35, Neosho.

Williams was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
