Webb City teen injured in collision with Freightliner on I-49

A Webb City teen was injured in a two-vehicle accident 4:50 a.m. today on I-49, four miles south of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Isaac Z. McLaughlin, 19, Webb City, was overtaking a 2019 Freightliner driven by Jeffrey A. Stites, 46, Neosho, when it crossed the center line and sideswiped the Stites vehicle.







The McLaughlin vehicle ran off the roadway.

McLaughlin was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
