Joplin man injured in crash on I-44 near Sarcoxie

A Joplin man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 6:12 a.m. on I-44, two miles west of Sarcoxie.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Ford Escape driven by Jimi D. Filizetti, 28, Joplin, struck 2002 Freightliner driven by Eric C. Alt, 61, St. Louis, causing the Filizetti vehicle to overturn.

Filizetti was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
