Seneca Police Department makes arrests on DWI and warrants from Kentucky, Texas and Neosho

On 7/31/19, Officer Fort observed a vehicle parked next to Gas-n-Snak after business hours. Officer Fort contacted the occupant of the vehicle.

The male lied about who he was and wouldn’t give a birth year. After further investigation, Officer Fort found out it was Thomas Butterworth.

Butterworth had two warrants, one out of Seneca for: FTA expired plates and no insurance and one out of Kentucky for: FTA theft.

Butterworth was arrested on his warrants and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/25/19, Officer Fort made a traffic stop for multiple lane violations.

The male driver was arrested and cited for: DWI, Careless and Imprudent Driving, Open Container, and No Insurance and was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/25/19, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at HWY 43/HWY 60 for lane violations.

The female passenger, Rayma Cole, was arrested on five warrants out of Neosho for: FTA Possession, FTA Stealing, FTA DWR/DWS, FTA Stealing, and FTA Trespassing. Cole was transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/21/19, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at Washington/Cherokee for a moving violation.

The male driver, Russell Hale, was arrested and cited for two warrants, DWI, and speeding. One warrant was out of Ottawa County for: FTA Fraud and one out of Texas for: FTA on 15 counts of Theft. Hale was transported to Newton County Jail.
