Carthage man charged with DWI following injury accident near Duenweg

A Carthage man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle injury accident 1:54 a.m today on Seventh Street, a half mile east of Duenweg.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Pedro L. Galindo, 26, Carthage, ran off the roadway and struck a ditch.







A passenger, Angel Martinez, 23, Carthage, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

Galindo, who was also charged with careless and imprudent driving, no valid license and no seat belt, sought his own treatment for minor injuries.
