Carthage residents injured in collision with Freightliner on 66

Two Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 10:10 a.m. today on MO 66, one mile west of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Ford pickup driven by William Aguilar, 37, Carthage, attempted a left turn and pulled into the path of a 2005 Freightliner Conventional driven by Ronald P. Ross, 72, Joplin.

Aguilar and a passenger, Sarai E. Cipriano-Lopez, 40, Carthage, were treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
