Note: The following is an update of the news release issued Thursday by the Jasper County Sheriff's Office on a shooting at 10487 County Road 270.
The shooting occurred as the result of a domestic altercation between Brent Garcia, 23 and Brandon Garcia, 21. Both live at the residence.
Brandon was shot in the right hip area by Brent. Brandon was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. More information may be released at a later time as the investigation allows.

At approximately 3:25 PM, 02-13-20 Jasper County deputies were dispatched to 10487 County Rd. 270 in reference to an individual that had been shot.
It was determined two individuals inside the residence were involved in an altercation that lead to one of them being shot.
The subject that had been shot was transported to Mercy Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The individuals involved in this incident are acquaintances and are being interviewed at this time.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
