Highway Patrol Troop D announces promotions

Captain John M. Enderle, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, Missouri, announces the following promotions.

Effective January 1, 2020, Corporal Michael P. McClure was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 9, which serves St. Clair and Cedar counties.

McClure was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 1, 1997, as a member of the 73rd Recruit Class. 

After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, He was assigned to Troop D, Zone 9. He was promoted to corporal in 2006 while serving as a marine enforcement trooper in Zone 21. In December 2017, he transferred to Zone 12 and served as the assistant zone supervisor in Christian County.








Sergeant McClure was born in West Plains, Missouri. He graduated from West Plains High School in 1987. Before joining the Patrol, he earned a Bachelor of Science in aviation science from College of the Ozarks. He then earned his Master of Science in aviation safety from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Sergeant McClure is married and has three children.

Effective January 1, 2020, Corporal Walter L. Burr III was promoted to the rank of sergeant. He is assigned as a marine enforcement trooper in Zone 21, which serves the Elk River. 

Burr was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on July 1, 1997, as a member of the 74th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop D, Zone 7. 

He transferred to Zone 13 in 2005. Zones 7 and 13 both serve Newton and McDonald counties in Southwest Missouri. He was assigned to Zone 21, marine operations, in August 2012. He was promoted to corporal in 2015 while serving as a marine enforcement trooper assigned to Zone 21.

Sergeant Burr was born in Rolla, Missouri. He graduated from Iron County High School, in Viburnum, in 1985. Sergeant Burr is married and has two sons.

Effective March 1, 2020, Trooper Kotter J. Kasischke was promoted to the rank of corporal. He is assigned as a marine operations trooper in Zone 21, which serves the Elk River. 








Kasischke was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 16, 2001, as a member of the 78th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop D, Zone 7, which serves Newton and McDonald counties in Southwest Missouri. In February 2018, he transferred to Zone 21, a marine enforcement zone, which serves the Elk River.

Corporal Kasischke graduated from McDonald County High School in 1995. He is married and has children.

Effective March 1, 2020, Trooper Blake R. DeHaan was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 4 which serves Stone and Taney counties. 

DeHaan was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on July 1, 2010, as a member of the 92nd Recruit Class. 

After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, DeHaan was assigned to Troop A, Zone 17. In 2011, he transferred to Zone 11, Cass County. In 2015, DeHaan transferred to Troop D, Zone 4.

Corporal DeHann grew up in a missionary family and lived in Albania where he graduated from a homeschool program. He then attended College of the Ozarks and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice. DeHaan is married and has three daughters.

Effective April 1, 2020, Trooper Chad C. Clark was promoted to the rank of corporal, and assigned as assistant zone supervisor in Zone 13, which serves Newton and McDonald counties in Southwest Missouri. Clark was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 29, 2005 as a member of the 84th Recruit Class. 

After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, Clark was assigned to Troop A, Saline County. On August 1, 2008, he transferred to Troop D, Zone 13, which serves Newton and McDonald counties. 

In March 2011, he transferred to Zone 3, Polk County. He then transferred to the Aircraft Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, Missouri, in 2013. He was promoted to corporal on September 14, 2014. Clark took a voluntary reduction of rank and transferred back to Troop D, Zone 3, Polk County, as a trooper.

Corporal Clark was born in Dunnegan, Missouri, and graduated from Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Missouri. He then graduated from College of the Ozarks in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in aviation maintenance technology. Clark is married and has three children.
