Joplin man receives serious injuries in collision on 59

 A Joplin man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 11:59 a.m. today on MO 59, one mile south of Fidelity.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Zachary A. Schofield, 26, Joplin, driving a 2014 Dodge Charger, attempted a u-turn and was struck by a 2006 Ford F450 driven by Christopher A. Jennings, 35, Carthage.

Schofield was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
