Seneca Police Department Arrests

On 8/4/21, Officer Whitehead noticed a suspicious person walking around town. Due to the recent break-ins, Officer Whitehead stopped and talked to the subject. The subject was Randall Bates. Bates had a FTA warrant out of Seneca for: Failure to Obey Traffic Laws. Bates was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 8/3/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Lonnie Ln. The driver, Chelsea Hackett had a warrant out of Newton County for: Passing Bad Checks. Hackett was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 8/2/21, Officer Housley received a call about a female subject inside the store asking customers for money and disrupting business. The female subject was identified as Sonja Cisneroz. Cisneroz had a Felony warrant out of Ottawa County, OK for: Larceny. Cisneroz was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 8/1/21, Officer Housley along with Officer Burnett made a traffic stop at Washington/St. Louise for multiple moving violations.

The driver, Dawn Bicknell had a FTA warrant out of Seneca for: DWR. Bicknell was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 8/1/21, Officer Housley along with Officer Burnett saw a suspicious person by Sonic after being notified by Easter Shawnee Tribe that a male subject had fled on foot. Officer Burnett chased the subject on foot but the Officers ended up losing him. Later on in the morning, Officer Zimmerman ended up catching the subject in the parking lot of the Assembly of God Church. The subject was identified as, Christopher Kessinger. Kessinger had 2 Felony warrants out of Newton County for: Resisting Arrest and Trafficking Drugs. He also had 2 Felony warrants out of Lawrence County for: Resisting x2. Kessinger was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/31/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Bethel for multiple moving violations. The driver, Erin Watkins had a FTA warrant out of Goodman for: No Insurance. The male passenger was arrested for: Possession of Controlled Substance. Both subjects were arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/29/21, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop at Ottawa/Harlan for an equipment violation. The passenger, Heather Durbin had 2 FTA warrants out of Seneca for: Misc. Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Durbin was arrested on her warrants and transported to Newton County.

On 7/26/21, Officer Housley along with Officer Burnett, made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Hwy 60 for a moving violation. The male driver was arrested for: DWR and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/26/21, Officer Housley along with Officer Burnett made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Wyandotte for a moving violation. The driver was arrested for DWI- Drugs and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/24/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Hwy U for an equipment violation. The driver, Jalen Chandler had a warrant out of Jasper County for: DWR. Chandler was arrested on his warrant and transported to Newton County Jail where he was also booked on new charges.

On 7/23/21, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Ottawa for an equipment violation. The driver, Jacob Meadors had 2 Goodman warrants for: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Domestic Assault. Meadors was arrested on his warrants and was transported to Newton County Jail where he was also booked on new charges.

On 7/22/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Gas-N-Snack North. The driver, Aaron Park had a warrant out of Carl Junction for: Failure to Register Motor Vehicle. Park was arrested on his warrant and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/21/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Hwy 60 for a moving violation. The passenger, Travis Luckinbill had a warrant out of Seneca for: Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Luckinbill was arrested on his warrant and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/19/21, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop at Hwy 60/Hwy 43 for an equipment violation. The driver, Michael Whitely had 2 warrants out of Newton County for: DWR x2. Whitely was arrested on his warrants and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/19/21, Officer Zimmerman was advised that Chief Altic was currently on a traffic stop with individuals that he observed stealing fuel cans from a residence. The male subject was arrested for: Stealing. A female subject, Bree O’Haro had a Newton County FTA warrant for: Stealing and 2 Seneca FTA warrants for: Defective Equipment x2. The other female subject was arrested for: Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All 3 subjects were arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/13/21, Sergeant Wilson responded to an address for a suspicious vehicle. The driver, Darren Woodward had multiple warrants: 3- Seneca warrants for: Domestic Assault, Trespassing and Property Damage. 1 -Barry County warrant for: Fraud-Bad Check. Woodward was arrested on his warrants and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/11/21, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Lonnie Ln for an equipment violation. The passenger, Lillian Reynolds had 2 FTA Carterville warrants for: No Insurance and Speed 16 to 19. Reynolds was arrested on her warrants and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/9/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop west of the roundabout for a moving violation. The driver was arrested for: Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia then transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/9/21, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Wyandotte for moving violations. The driver was arrested for: DWS, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia then transported to Newton County Jail.

On 7/7/21, Officer Housley noticed a guy walking on Cherokee that was known to have a Felony Parole Violation warrant out of Missouri. Jarrod Lagers was arrested on his warrant and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 6/18/21, Officer Whitehead observed a male riding a bike who had an active warrant out of Newton County for: Non Support. The male subject, Dustin Engle was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail where he was booked for his warrant and resisting arrest.

On 6/10/21, Officer Whitehead made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Hwy 60 for an equipment violation. The passenger, Kyle Hammond-Parrett had 2 Seneca FTA warrants for: No Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kyle was arrested on his warrants and transported to Newton County Jail where he was also booked on new charges.

On 6/3/21, Officer Whitehead made a traffic stop at Hwy 43/Lonnie Ln for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for: Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to Newton County Jail.
