 (From Net Vision Communications)

Net Vision Communications is excited to announced they will bring high-speed fiber internet to the cities of Lamar and Lamar Heights.

Net Vision is the recipient of a $12.4 million USDA Broadband Internet Loan under the RUS program that will allow users to connect to a Fiber Internet Network. All within the city limits of Lamar and Lamar Heights will be able to subscribe to speeds from 100Mbps to up to 2.5Gbps symmetrically.

The construction process will tentatively begin in the Summer of 2023. Once completed, there will be approximately 40 miles of distribution fiber that will pass 2,419 homes, businesses, schools, and other community organizations delivering reliable, up-to-date Broadband to many residents who have little options for high-speed service.

Growing up in the rural area of a neighboring county, owner, Larry Coose, understands the need for dependable cutting-edge internet for businesses and residents. “The lack of fast, high-speed Internet affects not only businesses, but the people who live and work in the community.

Reliable Internet provided by a fiber infrastructure enables access to unprecedented levels of information, allowing people to communicate, learn, work, earn money, and take advantage of the many streaming services that provide today’s entertainment, news and sports. This will be a win for everyone in the community.”

Net Vision Communications recognizes the need for an exceptional Internet infrastructure for Lamar’s businesses and residents, not only today but for future generations. Networks capable of delivering fast and reliable broadband Internet services are essential to daily life in today’s world. It is Net Vision’s goal for every business, organization, educational institution and home in the Lamar area to have the opportunity to connect and provide to them affordable access. This is essential to promoting equal opportunities for all businesses and residents in the community which will be beneficial to everyone.
