Expect I-44 ramp closings in Joplin next week for resurfacing

TRAFFIC ALERT: Expect Delays, Some Closures of I-44 Ramps in Joplin for Resurfacing Beginning May 10

Where: I-44 interchange ramps between Exit 1 (U.S. Route 166) & Exit 8 (Range Line Road) in Joplin

When: 7p.m.-5 a.m., Sunday-Thursday beginning Wednesday, May 10 through the end of the month

What: Contractor crews resurfacing on and off ramps as part of I-44 resurfacing project

Traffic Impacts

I-44 on and off ramps CLOSED where crews are working, beginning in the eastbound lanes at Exit 1 (U.S. Route 166) When contractor crews have finished in the eastbound direction, they will turn around and head westbound beginning at Exit 8 (Range Line Road)

No two consecutive interchanges closed at the same time allowing drivers to exit at the next interchange and turn around if necessary

No signed detour

Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zones

Drivers should find alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
