A Carthage man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 12 p.m. Tuesday on MO 171 one mile west of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Nissan Sentra driven by Edwin Lopez Rivas, 41, Carthage, traveled off the north side of the roadway, went into a skid, returned to the roadway then traveled off the south side of the road, crossed the asphalt separator and off ramp and struck a ditch and tree.
Rivas was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
