(From Jasper Fire and Rescue)A little after 4pm yesterday, Jasper Fire was dispatched for a semi-trailer fire on Highway 43 to the south of Highway 126.
Upon arrival it was found to be heavily involved. The fire was under control in a few minutes and took several minutes to finish cooling it. The fire appeared to have started from a tire.
Thank you to the Barton County Sheriff's Office for taking care of traffic and to the Tri-Cities FPD for sending a tanker in case extra water was needed.
