(From the City of Joplin)Due to the high winds in last night’s storm, residents have down limbs and branches to dispose of. To help with this, the City’s Public Works will open the Free Tree Limb Drop Off Site this week, starting today, Monday, July 31.
It will be open from 8:30 a.m. -2 p.m. today through Friday, August 4. The next regularly scheduled drop off is set for Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19.
The drop-off site is located at 1702 North Schifferdecker Avenue, just about a half-mile north of Belle Center Road on the west side of Schifferdecker.
Another option for residents is to bundle limbs and branches cut to 4-foot maximum length and place them at curbside for pick up on their regularly scheduled trash service day.
