A Dadeville man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 12:57 p.m. Monday on Route V, one mile west of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 International 7600 truck driven by Charles E. Toler, 38, Dadeville, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and overturned.
Lawrence County Coroner Scott Lakin pronounced Toler dead at 1:10 p.m.
The fatality was the 78th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
